We all have things about our friends that make us slightly envious. Not in a bad way, but in a 'Wow! I wish I had that person's hair/eyes/money/relationship/toenails/whatever.' So tell me what about me makes you envy me. . . then post this in your LJ and see what makes me envious of you.

All four of my kids had fevers and headaches last night so I called the drs office this morning. Apparently, in the last week, this area has seen a huge spike in cases of the influenza and they have the "classic" signs of it. Headaches, fevers and body aches. As long as they respond to the Motrin I've been giving them, they don't need to be seen. However, they can't go back to school until they have been fever free for 24 hours because the fevers come and go with this flu.

Sigh...

I bought one more crab about 3 weeks ago to give our other little Ecudorian crab a companion. Well, Nermal died this morning. I knew it wasn't doing well as it's been really lathargic and all but it finally gave in to its fate this morning. The boys are waiting for Abbie to get home from gymnastics to bury it. (they are out of school today)

I'll probably go to a different pet store and buy another one in a few weeks. The boys are sad but they know that it's not always easy to keep crabs healthy. On the upside, our original 4 are still doing quite well.

You want to know the funny part? I was just telling my sister in law yesterday that there was no cure or magic drug for autism. She kept thinking that Jeremiah's Concerta was for his autism but it's for the severe ADHD he has. I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this. If there's anything at all that will help my poor boys, I'm all for trying it.

In Pharmacology, all drugs have two names, a trade name and generic name. For example, the trade name of Tylenol also has a generic name of Acetaminophen. Aleve is also called Naproxen. Amoxil is also call Amoxicillin and Advil is also called Ibuprofen.


The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.


Pfizer Corp. announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer. It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of "cocktails", "highballs" and just a good old-fashioned "stiff drink". Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of: MOUNT & DO.


Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.
